George Swisher was a deacon of Covenant Baptist Church in San Antonio, back in the late ’90s, just before he died of AIDS. What is remarkable is that George was, at the time, an atheist. Somehow the bylaws of our quirky little Baptist church allowed this to happen.

This is the story of George’s death, and of the lasting monument he left for our church.
